Editorial policy

Evermate Lab writes for adults aged 18 and over who are choosing an AI companion app. We promise one thing: every conclusion rests on our own test, and affiliate money does not affect rankings.

Independence

• Scores come from the test described in the methodology. Commission rates are not used when we rank apps.
• Apps without an affiliate programme are reviewed by the same rules.
• We do not publish paid reviews and do not run brand banners.
• We do not change a text at the request of a brand, except to fix a factual error.
• If a brand gives us free premium access or a code, we say so in the review.

Facts and sources

• Every figure, price and claim of “best” can be traced to our test or to a source named in the same sentence.
• Our own test comes first, then the official pages of the app, then regulators and large independent publications. User comments are reported as what users say, not as fact.
• When data is not available, we write “not disclosed” or “not tested”.

Age and safety rules

• This site is for adults only and shows an age screen.
• We never cover or recommend anything that involves minors or people who could be taken for minors.
• We do not review or recommend services whose main function is to use the face, voice or identity of a real person without consent. This includes deepfakes and apps that undress photos.
• We do not recommend apps built around violence or non-consensual scenes.
• Fictional AI companions and characters are the subject of this site and are allowed.
• There are no explicit images on this site.

Updates and corrections

We update pages when prices, terms or features change and show the date of the last real update. We correct confirmed factual errors within three business days and mark the correction with a date. See the contact page to report an error.
